What counts as a channel?
One Twitch channel that Clipsie watches. If you stream on two accounts, that is two channels. Your connected YouTube and TikTok destinations do not count separately: one clip posted to both platforms is still one clip from one channel.
What do I get without paying?
Pick a chat word in the channel settings (many pick !clip), type it while you stream, and Clipsie makes that moment into a finished vertical short with captions and a title, then posts it to your connected accounts. 5 of those a month, no card. On top of that your first stream is on us: Clipsie watches it end to end and finds moments by itself, up to 3 clips, so you can judge the automatic detection before you pay for it. What the free plan does not do is watch every stream for you, which is what the paid plans are.
Which plan am I on if my streams vary?
Your plan sets the ceiling on "Clips per streaming day", the dial you control in the dashboard. Stream seven days or two, long or short: the price does not move. Only the most clips per streaming day you can ask for changes with the plan.
What does Starter leave out?
Three controls, none of them output: your own posting schedule (Starter posts on automatic slots), steering the titles (a pinned title style, your own examples and notes), and the nameplate on the facecam. Clips, captions, reframe, titles, both platforms, the review queue and letting every viewer trigger the clip word are the same on every plan, free included. Studio adds unlimited imports and the priority queue.
What happens when a stream has more good moments than my plan?
Clipsie keeps watching and gets pickier, so your daily clips come from the best of the whole stream, not the first moments that cleared the bar. Strong leftovers wait in reserve for the next open posting slot. Nothing extra is ever billed. If your streams outgrow the ceiling regularly, upgrading takes one click and applies immediately.
What is a stream import?
One run of the VOD clipper or one longform build: you hand Clipsie a past stream by link, from Twitch, Kick or YouTube, and it works through the whole recording instead of watching live, and the clips it hands back are yours to post or keep, on top of what the autopilot ships that day. How many you can pull out of past streams is a daily number: up to 5 a day on Starter, 15 on Creator, 30 on Studio, counted across every run you start that day. That is a different job from the live autopilot, because the whole thing has to be transcribed before anything can be found in it, so imports are counted per run rather than per clip. Every paid plan includes them, from 3 a month on Starter to unlimited on Studio: every stream you do, one run per VOD a day, and Studio's runs go first in the queue; the free plan has none. A VOD has to belong to the channel you import it for, so a clipper imports a streamer's VODs through that streamer's channel on the account. Counts reset on the first of each month, and a run that fails does not count against them.
Why price on clips per day instead of stream hours?
We looked at billing by stream hour and decided against it. You do not stream fewer hours to save money, so an hourly meter would just punish the streamers getting the most out of it. Clips per streaming day is a number you choose yourself, and it is the thing you actually wanted: output.
What happens after the trial?
Your card is charged the first time on day 8. Cancel before then in the billing portal and you are not charged at all. We ask for the card up front so clipping does not stop mid-stream on the day it converts.
Can I cancel or switch plans whenever?
Yes, both, from the billing portal in your dashboard, with no email to write. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.
Is VAT added on top?
No. The price you see is what you pay: Clipsie is run by a small Swiss sole proprietorship that is not VAT-registered, so no VAT is added at checkout. If you are a business you can still enter your VAT ID at checkout and it will appear on your invoices. If that ever changes we will tell you before it does, not on your next statement.
What if Clipsie has a bad week on my channel?
Some streams simply do not contain enough clippable moments, and we would rather post four good clips than force a quota with weak ones. Your dashboard shows exactly what each stream produced and why. If the product is not earning its keep, cancel; we would rather that than a customer who quietly resents the charge.
