How to turn a Twitch VOD into TikToks
To turn a Twitch VOD into TikToks, find the best moments in the recording, cut each into a 30 to 45 second vertical clip with captions, and post them one at a time. Do it soon: Twitch keeps VODs for 7 days by default (14 for Affiliates, 60 for Partners and Turbo or Prime users). Clipsie can do the whole thing from a VOD link on paid plans.
Before the VOD disappears
Make sure Store past broadcasts is on in your Twitch settings, or there is no VOD to work from. If you want a part of the stream to stay, save it as a Highlight on Twitch, which doesn’t expire like a past broadcast.
By hand
- Scrub the VOD for moments with a setup and a reaction. Chat replay helps: busy chat marks the good parts.
- Clip each moment on Twitch, or download the VOD and cut it in an editor.
- Reframe to 9:16, add captions, write a one-line hook.
- Post to TikTok one clip per day rather than all at once.
With Clipsie
On a paid plan, paste the VOD link in the dashboard’s Tools tab. Clipsie transcribes the whole recording, scores the moments, and cuts the best into vertical, captioned, titled clips that go to your review queue or straight to TikTok and YouTube Shorts. Kick and YouTube VODs work the same way. The VOD has to belong to the channel you import it for. See how many imports each plan includes.
Try it on your next stream
Clipsie is free to start, no card needed: connect Twitch, pick YouTube or TikTok, and your first stream is watched end to end automatically. Start free or see pricing.
