How to clip Kick streams into Shorts and TikToks

Updated 3 November 2026

Short answer

To clip a Kick stream into Shorts and TikToks, take the stream’s VOD and cut its best moments into vertical 9:16 clips with captions, by hand or with a tool that accepts Kick VOD links. Clipsie clips Kick VODs on paid plans: paste the link and it works through the whole recording. It does not watch Kick streams live.

Live vs VOD on Kick

Clipsie’s live clipping reads Twitch chat, so on Kick it works on the recording after the stream instead. That is a real difference: a VOD run finds moments from what was said and shown, but it cannot see the live chat reaction the way a Twitch stream can. If live clipping on Kick matters most to you, a tool that supports Kick live (Eklipse does, on its top plan) may suit you better. See Clipsie vs Eklipse.

Clipping a Kick VOD with Clipsie

  1. On a paid plan, open the Tools tab in the dashboard.
  2. Paste the Kick VOD link. The VOD has to belong to the channel you import it for.
  3. Clipsie transcribes the recording, scores the moments, and cuts the best ones into vertical, captioned clips.
  4. They land in your review queue or post to YouTube Shorts and TikTok, depending on the channel’s setting.

Each VOD can be run once a day. Starter searches up to 60 hours of past streams a month, Creator 100, Studio 150, and the clips count toward the plan's monthly clips (60, 150 and 250). See pricing.

Doing it by hand

Download the VOD from your Kick dashboard, scrub it for the moments with a clear setup and payoff, and cut them in a vertical editor with captions. Keep each clip short (20 to 60 seconds) and start on the action.

Try it on your next stream

Clipsie is free to start, no card needed: connect Twitch, pick YouTube or TikTok, and your first stream is watched end to end automatically. Start free or see pricing.
